What iconic movies do you NOT like but are “supposed” to?
For me:
Star Wars
ET
Casablanca
ohmig-d- Without a trace. I was riveted by that movie (and yes again to all of MM’s).
If you haven’t read th original story for Stand By Me you should. I still think Stephen King is one of the best American authors ever. And Ray Bradbury.
I have a sneaking suspicion that everyone on here will be updating their Netflix queue today!

One of the best romance movies ever is: Amélie (French)
It just makes me swoon! If you haven’t seen it please please watch this movie. Audrey Tautou is brilliant. Here’s the (English) trailer:

Shrek movies- yes!
And Yes- I loved Bedknibs and Broomsticks. Loved the book too but hated what Disney did to Mary Poppins. Thise are my favorite childhood books.
MM, you love the tear jerkers! Stand By Me had me bawling like a kid. Did you ever see “Without A Trace” that was set in Brooklyn Heights? That movie even made my dad cry a river!
