I woke up around 6:30, laid in bed for a whilw with the TV on but heard shovelling outside. Turns out the very old man down the street was up at 5:00 and did the whole block. I went out and he’s doing my stoop and I yelled at him. He said he thought I was away. We had about 18″ there and he did the whole thing himself.
By the way, I am going to Florida on Spirit Airlines; their new marketing slogan is F@#K YOU. I think they have it stenciled on the sides of its planes. Known for stranding passengers when it rains. All those miserable people sleeping in airports on their backpacks are all flying…you guessed it….Spirit Airlines.
I am hoping they get their act together by Saturday.
So *ROB* you have graduated from vinegar sandwiches to snot ramen??? I think you are ready for the Food Channel.
I went out last night with a friend. What a jerk not to just go home. By the time I left the restaurant, Murray Hill was buried. I took the subway home, no C, and took the G to Clinton Washington and did a Doctor Zhivalgo 4 blocks home. Unbelievable. There was at least a foot of snow when I got home. I shoveled then at midnight and more this morning.
By the way, the guy was getting on his coat to leave and he puts on this HAT. I said “Man, what a fabulous hat! Is that one of your Irish hats?” you know those wool type fedoras…..
