TextperV, I call bullshit if an Outback can power over 6″ of packed snow. 6″ of packed snow is a lot to power over from a stopped position and especially if tires are already sitting on top of some snow.

“f that’s 6″ of packed snow, SUV wont be able to power over it.”
Then what’s the point of an SUV????? We had an Outback for many years and it was great in the snow. It ate it up.
Not sure what this car was. either a BMW or a Lexus. I didn’t ask my husband cause I really don’t care about cars. As long as it gets me from point A to point B safely, and I can double park it in a bike lane; I’m happy with anything.
Cobble, I didn’t know you were a Luna fan! Do you also like their incarnations as Galaxie 500 and Dean & Britta?
I saw their documentary “Tell Me Do You Miss Me” at the Tribeca Film Festival a few years ago and they were there doing a Q&A. I love them. My old band did a few covers and many of them were Luna/Galaxie 500 tunes.
Some favourites are Slide, Sideshow By the Seashore, Melt Away, California, Anesthesia, 23 Minutes in Brussels, Lost in Space.
