i wrote a paper about fantasies of flight and levitation in chagall’s works for one of my psychology seminars. now im broke with student loans just to have had the pleasure to write about such absurd things such as that. things that are meaningless to 99.999999% of Earth’s population, bullshit thoughts that are completely forgotten, yet the pricetag still looms in my future. barf.
I can’t believe I got suckered into the zipline. I thought it was supposed to be great way to view the treetops and nature…..not some adrenaline thrill seeker adventure.
Supposedly 1 I went on is longest – 1 km- kept my eyes closed mostly – just peeking to see if getting to the next platform. The zips that were shorter and just atop the trees were fine….but crossing high above ravines was not.
Arenal and Poas were busts because of weather (never saw top of arenal). Did kayak in lake though. And Arenal Lodge was nice. Liked Monteverde – but getting there was not fun.
Best contemporary artists are John Currin and Lisa Yuskavage. Such sensitive portrayals of really fascinating subjects. I urge all art lovers to seek these visionaries out.
OH NO! You gotta get better soon!

Sorry Cobble. Are you sure you didn’t catch it from DIBS? He was feeling ill earlier in the week I think.
Hi Snaps! No snow angels. : ( I’m sick again—got BH’s sore throat/cold. BAH!
Meet any hot Costa Ricans????
[Note to my Attorneys: Do not leave the Chagall to Pete or etson.]
I love Chagall. In fact, were I to pick my all-time favorite painting, it would be Chagall’s “I and the Village” at the MoMa.

Legion, I also love Chagall’s stained glass windows, and his 2 giant tapestries at Lincoln Center.

Pete, I may have missed discussion of this, but how’d you like Costa Rica? And was your heart meds reference last week related to a zipline tour?
