Log in to Reply They probably got sick from something other than giardia, BHS. Stick to very small feeder streams. They haven’t been above ground for long. Not much history to pick up diseases. You all know what I mean. Also stick to moving water (ie streams). You’re in trouble if you drink from lakes or ponds or any stagnant water. Follow those simple rules and you’re fine. Log in to Reply Hello friendly brownstoners! DCB, what’s this about Victoria’s Secret? do tell. Log in to Reply Emanuela (DePaula) anyone? M4L? Way more interesting than Giardia!!! Log in to Reply I used to do a lot of hiking and backpacking in the Southeast and in California. I always played it safe and carried a water filter with me. I know many people who drank unfiltered and never got sick, but I know a couple who did and were miserable. I’d rather not take a chance. Log in to Reply Where’s cobble to enjoy this discussion?????
