>Obviously you know nothing about the fact that the funding is actually nonexistant.
Obviously you’ve been drinking the anti-government Kool-aid.
“Myth No. 4: Social Security will run out of money in 2041. Social Security will still be receiving payroll taxes from workers in 2041. What may have disappeared by then are the assets in the Social Security trust fund.
Even that isn’t cast in stone, however. The Congressional Budget Office in June 2006 projected that the trust fund wouldn’t dry up until five years later, in 2046. The CBO used different assumptions than those used by the Social Security Administration, projecting faster growth in worker earnings, higher interest rates and lower inflation
–If dibs thinks socsec & medicare *as implemented* are not a success, I simply don’t know what to say. Ask any senior if (s)he’d be willing to forgo them, financial barons excluded.
Obviously you know nothing about the fact that the funding is actually nonexistant.
–retrograde thinking’ is not ad hominem unless you’re remarkly thin-skinned. It means wanting to go back to a previous time rather than facing facts as they are.

Only dyed-in-the-wool “Americans” of a certain stripe would argue that everything has to be from the Constitution. It’s a roadmap, folks, not a functional description of what to do 400 years thence. Anyone who thinks the Founding Fathers were that prescient cannot possibly be serious. Of course, it helps the current Repub reps to spout off on this as a way to stop progress unless it’s in their world-view, but the rest of us can see it for what it is. Of course abortion is not a fundamental right, a la free speech. But it is the law.
Agreed. Ready for one right now. Can’t wait until this day ends. How STUPID was I for not insisting on a week off between jobs given my collective one day off in the past year.
took a long stroll outside looking for eye candy and finally concluded there’s not much to see when it’s cold like this – not many people on streets, top talent is well covered,…
Donatella,
that is shitty news but F it cause life rolls on and there are still way too many things to be happy about

I believe a martini should have 3 parts gin, 1 part dry vermouth, and as almost as many olives as I can fit in the glass.
Get your priorities straight…gin or olives????
