  1. Donatella, want to be a Mets fan for a season? If you can survive a season of their BS, nothing will get you down. Being a Mets, Knicks, and Rangers Fan make you thick skinned and tough

  2. “there is always a silver lining and there is one here and in a few months no doubt will be posting about my new life”

Yep. I couldn’t agree more, donatella. This is what friends said to me for all the months that I worked for Cruella de Ville’s Evil Twin Sister. And it’s quite true.

  3. jessi- cam you imagine what this country would be like if there were no 9 justices constantly looking at and protecting the Constitution? I don’t always agree with what they do- politics have really poisoned the whole system, imo, but what’s the alternative? No body of law is closed to interpretation, except by people who prefer tyranny over freedom. Exactly why religions must stay out of politics.

  4. bx — no lawyer who wants to stay in business would say yes. Seriously, there are many ways to answer this question. Some laws are rules (stop for a red light), some are standards (you must give reasonable notice), some are guidelines, and some incentivize conduct (you are immune from suit if you do X). Even where it is a rule, facts are open to dispute (did you stop in front of the light or did you enter the intersection). We all agree you can’t commit murder, but what is murder? How much premeditation is required, etc. Hard to know what an absolute law would be. Constitution is particularly ripe for interpretation as the clauses are fairly open-ended — i.e., what is freedom of speech, or an unreasonable search, or due process of law, or interstate commerce?
