A. I saw your comments on the apartment Ringo posted, and I posted to you in OT After Dark that night, but you had already gone AWOL.
2. “I’m chary of the increased amount of time CGar has on here to post with his new position and his new cubicle.
He’s turning into a trouble-maker.”
LMAO. This is going to end quickly. I’m still getting up to speed in my new job, and my direct manager is out sick. But, suddenly my calendar has filled up with weekly meetings and calls – I’m tied up from 2:30-5 today, with no break.
GM and Eastman Kodak dominated for EONS because it’s no small task to manufacture cars or film. A blog? Takes a computer and some imagination, which is all Mr. B. had when he started this site. Lots of people out there who can do that.
I’m with CGAR. I’m loyal – I’m here. That doesn’t stop me from noticing that the guy seems to be phoning it in.
“I think Jon sees his money coming from the marketplace in the future. Thus, he is using this side to help that side. Thus, so many of the COTD/HOTD come from the marketplace. Thus, I get annoyed.”
Agreed, Ringo. I noticed a listing from Awaye Realty the other day!!! I bet if we try to search for last years Awaye Realty threads, we would find that they’re gone.
“Frequently the Wrap &/or Links posts have stimulating topics that might generate more lively exchanges”
ArPUMA, I agree that it’s principally a real estate site, though it’s morphed into a general Brooklyn site, which is fine by me. A lot of the links and wrap articles would, IMHO, make great standalone threads, but more often than not they get buried and generate few or no comments because they’re all lumped together early or late.
I would also note that it seems hours pass in the morning with no new posts, and then suddenly RentalOTD, HOTD, COTD all appear in quick succession. If these posts were spread out more, they would likely generate more comments.
benson, how long did those 2 firms DOMINATE before they got spanked? EONS man. Jon can coast for a while. as much as we bitch and moan, where the F have or will we be jumping away to.
Ok, I’ll announce myself. I really just pulled up brownstoner and read thru the posts a few minutes ago. I don’t do the OT in real time..
That apartment looked nice. I’m really liking the luxury of a lower level. Price seemed decent (too decent?) so I looked on streeteasy and they bought that in 2008 for 900something. So they’re making money.

I was going to say something along the lines of what benson just said.
