  1. “i’ve said it before but i’ll say it again- its like a circle jerk sewing circle around here.”

No, randi, it’s a perfect central location to chat with close “friends” during the day, and, often enough, well into the night.

  2. So I signed up two deals almost simultaneously at close of market last night (inapprop to post link to press release on OT but I’ll email it to a couple of you). The Mrs went out for a dinner with the girls, so I figured what the hell, I’ll go out too, and make it sort of a birthday celebration since my b-day is tomorrow but I can’t go out tonight or tomorrow or over the weekend. First step was to take the train to Irvington, have dinner on the waterfront and have a bunch of cocktails to see if the town really fits when I’ve got my swerve on. Check and mate – going to make and offer on a place today. Many hours later I was shutting down the corner bar near home with 10 of my new best friends. Ooh my head hurts today. I’m at work but taking it easy since I got those deals done.

  3. TextperV, I offered the brownies but you said “no thanks; watching my figure”. I even helped you with watching your figure then you started complaining about me staring at your curves.

  4. ringo — that would be a good forum query. Old pine floors are tempermental with color. Best thing to do is sand down a corner of each and do little test squares, stain plus poly. We tried that and found that every pigmented stain looked fake. We went with a clear finish. Unless the two sections of floor are contiguous, I would consider living with the variation and not trying to match artificially. The two sections will age differently anyway.
