Well, benson, I see you’re still quite young. NYC just appeared to be quite different from what I understood the laws to be where I grew up. Burning garbage in urban areas of California was outlawed long before 1973. Can you imagine allowing people in that parched state to burn garbage? The entire place would combust.

I have a burn pile in PA.
That was part of autumn; you raked leaves, put them in a pile and burned them. Ah, the strange and other worldly joys of mid 20th Century.
