i dont do it on my daily commute, but when i have to take the subway for a very long distance i would always just bring an empty bottle with a wide mouth in case for situations like that. i’ve peed in bottles on crowded trains before without anyone being the wiser.
I wouldn’t be able to speak on a conf call because of confidential info, but I could listen. However I didn’t see anyone on cell phones at all. Apparently every train has its own code for what’s OK and what isn’t but some of them are VERY anti-cell phone.

no, they don’t.â€
Okay – sure, if each person gave money to fund these activities or volunteered their time, this could be done. But most people are too busy dealing with their own stuff.
“AND, when you look around and see no jobs, what’s the point.
what is that even supposed to mean? that it’s okay to give up on life and turn to violent crime? sorry i dont really accept that.â€
No, of course I’m not saying it’s ideal – but my point is: what do you expect? When you don’t see a future for yourself, I assume you recalculate your expectations and your daily reality. Crime is exciting day-to-day and if you don’t value your future, then it sorta makes sense.
Yeah but even if you never use the bathrooms it’s kind of nice to know they are there. Nothing worse than having a few glasses of water and a couple cups of coffee and then starting an hour-long underground commute and realizing maybe you should have drained the lizard before you went underground. Actually I guess the holocaust was worse. And Cher. So yeah I lied, some things are worse.

“just bring an empty bottle with a wide mouth”
Yeah whatever, don’t flatter yourself.
benson, re the coach and the wife, do you really think things were different back in the day? I just think they didn’t get out the way they do now.
