“When you think gourmet lunch, a food cart in the park probably isn’t the first thing that springs to mind, but the Parks Department is hoping to change that. Yesterday the department put out a request for proposals from mobile food vendors “that are inventive and interesting, serve a variety of options beyond hot dogs and pretzels, and that incorporate ethnically diverse and/or healthy food choices.” As if the poor hot dog stand vendors haven’t been through enough already!
But what types of food trucks will come forward to satisfy the Parks Department demand for “high-quality specialty mobile units”? The Post speculates that belgian waffles, gourmet cookies, and gelato are expected. Hm, those don’t exactly sound like the kinds of sugar-free, low-fat, low-salt options that Nanny Bloomberg endorses. We can’t wait to hear what the mayor has to say about this one, but it’s worth mentioning that those fruit trucks didn’t go over so well. Proposals are due February 25th and forms can be found here. Approved food vendors are expected to open for business later this summer, but you can already find some of them in Central Park and Brooklyn Bridge Park.”

Correct, no sales tax, which is why we come up here in August for the week of antique shows.
They seem to have figured out the liquor issue as well with the state run stores that provide cheap liquor and low end wine while still allowing others to sell wine and beer. We went into a reallly nice higher end wine shop. I also noticed that the Walgreens sold both beer and wine!!!
I used to go up to Portsmouth, NH alot on business. It was a great town, though it has gotten touristy in recent years. I like New Hampshire, and I like their motto.
I’ve never met anyone online for sex in NH. I’ve never had anonymous sex in NH. I have a goal for the new year now.
Slopey, did you see the article I posted in yesterday’s OT re: the “leftist” media bias? I thought you might find it interesting:

“”You would crawl up people’s legs and squeak? I’m so confused.”
Wouldn’t be the first time.”
I meant it wouldn’t be the first time I’ve crawled up someone’s leg and squeaked, not that it wouldn’t be the first time you’re so confused.
