I’ve done two cruises out of New York too – Red Hook to be specific. We did one last summer. It was one of the big ships, and it had an outdoor lido deck out back. We were lucky enough to grab a table on it, and sat there as it pulled out of NY harbor. It was great – the harbor looked beautiful as we were pulling out. Of course, a couple of gin and tonics help too.

Benson, sounds wonderful. I hope you and Mrs B have a great time. We’ve done two cruises out of New York since having kids. We’ll probably continue doing that as it’s much easier to depart from here with children than fly somewhere and then depart.
Mrs C and I did two other pre-Champ cruises out of Florida and enjoyed them as well.
