dave, I am not referring to first names only, and, to my knowledge, there is no one here who hasn’t given up at least a first name when meeting PLUSAs in person.
But, honestly, beyond that, the most basic personal information, including something seemingly innocuous like an email address, can be used to dig up a lot more personal information, especially online, that someone may have very good reasons for not sharing. I don’t have kids, and I have no personal experience being stalked, but I know people who have been, and, to me, it is perfectly understandable that they are very leery of sharing their personal information. As I’ve said before, we don’t know who lurks in the OT (or who retweets the OT) and may try to uncover personal information about someone here. Jussayin’.
I just tried Spokeo & it has a wrong version of my name at my address but no record of any variation on my correct real name.
Oh and CGar you might not want to open any of the surprise buttsecks links I just posted while at work.
I find Cgar to be the voice of reason on the OT!
