Rob – with regards to the NYC public school system – it’s true and most of those 6 closings I believe have been under Bloomie’s watch!
my mom was a NYC public school teacher and would have to get in her buick skylark at 6am and trek from LI to Astoria to arrive by 8am -meantime I would always get to go with her b/c my school would always close down. I loved going to school with her!! The only time I remember the NYC school system closing was for Hurricane Gloria in 1986

Excellent article? It was a slap in the face to everyone who voted for Obama because they thought he was the best candidate. And John McCain not only made really stupid errors, he picked Palin as a running mate. The article was misguided, politically ignorant and unfortunately a sad indication of the contempt of Conservatives for a legitimately elected President. It seems you share that same contempt, benson.
