  1. DIBS, we got tons of easy money to open it – tons of SBA, federal and NJ and Newark minority biz grants,… all we have to come up with was like 50k or so all-in.

    we used to go to an IHop on Union Turnpike in Queens all the time as a kid. Loved it too.
    Haven’t been to one in years though.

    Newsradio 88 is still saying 8 to 10 & NOAA 7 to 14

    WOW…that’s a real dilemma. Do you go with the 8-10 so that you’re assured of getting the 8″ or do you opt for the 7-14 where you might only get 7″ but you could wind up with the monster 14″

  4. m4l, the thing I turned down that was a mistake was buying a bar (and building) in the Southport section of Chicago in 1990. That’s a really hopping, trendy neighborhood now and this was one of the few bars. I think it was $300k for the whole thing and it was a bouble wide lot with a yard and garages.
