Benson, that is my response anytime I am in a conversion where people start talking about the Chinese taking over the world.
I read an article a year or 2 ago about the number of schools that are finally getting around to cutting there Japanese language programs that were super-popular in the late 80s, but practically empty now.

Anybody want to bet that 20 years ago, the article would have been about the wonders of Japanese mommyhood? Back then, they were the soon-to-be masters-of-the-world-that-we-should-emulate-in-every-way-because-our-system-sucks.
By the way, how did that work out for the Japanese?

More alarming was the article about no jobs in the future for law school grads. My Facebook friends were deeply depressed about that one.
“I have a woman like the Park Slope blogger in my building. Her younger son basically likes to reach down into her T-shirt and grab her boobs all the time. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve ridden down the elevator with her, trying to chat, her son goes for it, and she says nothing.”
