I don’t call people who aren’t from Spain “Spanish”. I’ve always thought it sounded insanely crazy and kinda ignorant, especially today. Maybe it just annoys me because I’m from out west where we don’t call people that.
OK – here’s another interesting tidbit am wondering about:
many women in DR have Arabic names or spellings of their names
like Ysira, or Yasmeen
can any of you smarties explain that one to me?
ENY – am wondering if they are so gorgeous b/c now we are adding another culture (middle eastern)into their mix
I have 2 very good friends who are gorgeous – 1/2 Dominican and half Lebanese
look at Shakira and Salma Hayek – gorgeous and are half lebanese and hale colombian and mexican respectively….
