  1. Isn’t Montana where the deer and antelope play, where seldom is heard a discouraging word?

I think Lech would go batty out there. He’s the type of person; like *rob*; that enjoys bitching about things.

  2. Whatever, dh, if you get a ticket, have to pay 200 bucks, and or get your car/bike towed and have to take off from work to take care of it and then post about it, I’ll post something that is nicer than what you posted.

    I’m going back to work.

    See you.

  3. I could see jackal for a while in Montana, but eventually, I think he would turn and aim his fire rightward (although they fire for reals out there). There’s a hippie element that would annoy jackal, but it is definitely a minority. There are big loud factions of different kinds of libertarians (of the traffic light = communism variety), social conservatives, business-oriented republicans, and conservatives who nonetheless want to preserve the forests and rivers so they can hunt and fish (dry flycasting only, please) and these factions go at each other for blood in the letters pages of the local dailies and weeklies and at various meetings and caucus. It’s like Italy with beer bellies and guns.

  4. Donatella, I am sure I would have taken the chance given the hassles with parking due to snow banks, especially in your nabe where it’s a lot harder to park than where I live. But it’s pretty easy to know where the crosswalk is–at the lot line of the perpendicular street. i.e., where the building ends and the sidewalk starts. I’m sure you weren’t parked all the way into the crosswalk, but it’s really annoying when people do that (especially police cars who do it a lot!) and pedestrians have to walk around, into the traffic.
