Dona, I love art and architecture. I’m poor. I can’t afford to pay an obscene amount to go to museums. So, I go on free or pay what you want days. I’m a whore in that sense and I’ll drag a boat load of nieces and nephews with me to expose them to the arts.
Why are you disappointed with Bklyn Museum? Truthfully, I haven’t been to brooklyn museum as often as I’ve been to others. maybe 3x in my life in Brooklyn. Most recently on a Saturday evening. I think they have some great collections but it was a dance party on one of the floors, which I thought was odd. Seemed like a lot of people just milling about on a date than actually looking at art.
I LOOOOVE the Noguchi museum. But then again I love Noguchi.
YES! Hispanic Society!! Which btw is FREE! I love the complex it’s in. Very European.
I keep meaning to take a boat load of kids to Museum of City of NY. Time escapes me.
Sadly, I’ve never been to Museo Del Bario. One day I’ll get there.
