*rob*, I have zero problem telling the truth about my height in my profiles. It’s not like they aren’t going to figure out that I’m NOT 6 feet the first time they lay eyes on me. And, besides, many (most?) Asian women are petite, so my height, or lack thereof, is really not an issue for them.

jessi, this is very true, and it took me many years to figure out that it’s not black and white, which I think is true for most people, at least those who are willing to be honest with themselves about it. And one of my best friends recently told me to stop trying to pigeonhole myself as one thing or the other, which resonated a great deal with me – very simple advice, but brilliant I thought.

No problem, jessi. I didn’t think you were serious, and that was a pretty funny post. But, I DO have a thing for Marlee Matlin. Did you ever see her in The West Wing.
As for the Brooklyner and the Manhattanites, not yet. Just email. My plans went awry because I had a terrible case of the flu last week and wasn’t really up for going out on first dates. It’s one thing to look like shit when I see friends, quite another when I’m trying to make a good first impression.
A voicemail makes sense – she probably wanted to hear your voice before calling you back.

1.) bxgirl has a hearing issue
b.) as do I. (ive told her before, we’ve talked about it in person holding our ears and reading lips)
