  1. Former NYT food critic Sheraton disses Brooklyn – sounds like DIBS:

“I’m from Brooklyn, but it would take a lot to get me there for dinner. When Lundy’s was Lundy’s, I’d be there. When Gargiulo’s was Gargiulo’s, I went. I certainly went to Gage and Tollner. There were one-of-a-kind things there, but so far anywhere I’ve been to there has not been worth the trip from Manhattan. I haven’t been to Al di la, because you have to wait on line, and I’m not going to Brooklyn to wait on line…The Times has certainly been very exaggerated in its Brooklyn coverage, because most of them live there.”

  2. rob, that’s not out of whack for a high end office in Manhattan

You don’t need all that stuff at your age (unless you have some particular problems) and probably oinly need an exam for you vision every two years.

Cal the Lenscrafters or Cohen’s and check with the places people here recommend in Chinatown.

  3. whoooooooooa

i just called the eye place i go to in park slope and they said it’s better to email them with questions so i emailed asking what a basic exam would be and i get a response back and they said $254 dollars. ugh. okay, i will be going to the chinatown places and getting price quotes, anyone remember what those two were that people here suggested? im sure i can just wander around chinatown and find it tho. but does that price not sound really outta control? that does not include contacts, just the eye exam.
