  1. Legion- you’ll pay for that 🙂

I am not a fan of unions, btw. They put my father out of business and into bankruptcy, but I blame the union management and the city both for the problems. Workers can beand are held accountable- as it should be. But how about the rest? But it seems the tendency on the OT is to condemn everything and everyone that can be connected to the unions. Truth be told, the unions aren’t the only entities who don’t take accountability. You and I can sit down and make out a very long list, I’m sure. 🙂

  2. Now I’ve got to take legiondog for his walk.
    If I’m not accountable,
    he’ll poop in the house
    (although to be fair,
    he never has)

If the sanitation workers are not accountable,
the crap piles up on the sidewalks as you can
    see out your window.

    Accountability.

  3. bxgrl,

    I’m poking at you. Gotcha!
Everyone’s job has some price to pay,
    that’s life.
Accountability is something which is in
    short supply these days.
    Unions or not,
if workers cannot be held accountable for the
end result, there is no measure of success.
Unfortunately, many unions threw the idea of accountablilty
out long ago and replaced it with a feeding trough.

Check out the story in today’s Daily News (basically a union mouthpiece) about the
“Coffee Boy” contract stipulation written into every contract made with the Concrete Laborers Union. It seems that every Concrete Union job “required” a “Coffee Boy” on every job to take coffee orders. NICE!

Here’s the kicker, it was all a scam to line the pockets of organized crime.

    Accountability.

Ive seen some lawyers in action who are so stupid I doubt if they could figure out how to pick up garbage.”

Yup. That’s because the only thing that distinguishes most lawyers from non-lawyers is their parents’ continued ability to fund their education and their inability to think of anything better to do.

Pick a random homeless teenager off the street and give him $400k to get an education. Voila – lawyer!

Actually a random homeless kid would know better than to waste money like that.
