  1. In A.C. I played a nickle slot. Once. Down .5 never bothered again. Spent the rest of the time walking the boardwalk and sight-seeing (not that there’s anything to see over there.)

  2. Never went to a casino- never had any interest but my parents went once. My father came back shell shocked. All he could tell us was “one-armed bandit, one-armed bandit.” Whatever happened they never went again.

  3. Jester, Horse racing …. casinos — they are both gambling but really different. I like going to the track every now and then, mostly because it is so much fun to watch the horses.

MM, true about the day/night thing. My first exposure to casinos was so powerful (yeah, diabolical is a good word) that it stuck with me for life.

ENY, I think that they may be stuck with the same pitching — Cashman said Felix was a no-go (don’t know why) and Petitte probably not coming back. Who knows they may luck out with the rookies. It is going to be rough against the Phillies AND the Red Sox, but hey, it’s the Yankees and they are a great team.

  4. “that hardware store on Court north of Atlantic has them”

    Bruno’s.

There are 2 adjacent locations a couple of doors down from each other on Court. Same name, I think. Different owners. Family feud of some sort.
