I live in one of those generic new building that many people here hate, on a block that many people here hate.
The advantage is that I have in-unit laundry, working A/C, plenty of light, 2 bathrooms, excellent soundproofing between units, and a nice modern kitchen at a rent that is only somewhat outrageous.
In addition to the “shame” of living in such building, I also have to put up with the endless noise of being over one of the busiest and loudest intersections in the city (although the double-paned windows help a lot)

speaking of shorter life, where is cgar?
ha. i have a shit load of laundry to do too… im not even wearing matching socks, and i havent been wearing matching socks since like last week (that whole thing… where the hell does the one sock go missing to is SO spot on) so annoying. i have like 20 pairs of socks with no matches. i should be doing laundry today but i cant be asked on my first day of vacation. today im going to wander around park slope and peek into coffee shops and stuff. it’s my National Lampoon’s Moonface Vacation!
