I have been taking the Metro North for 15 years to White Plains. Not fun.
Lech, I second what RF just said. I take the Metro-North in the opposite direction, and even on those runs it can sometimes be difficult to find a seat.
By the way, if I were a young, single guy, I would love my commute. 75% of my fellow commuters are young single women who work in White Plains, but want to live in NYC for the social life, etc.
Or you could move to Bed-Stuy, Crown Heights, Clinton Hill, Ft. Greene and have a shorter, more direct commute to midtown. And/or if you don’t want to drive when the deal is hot, take car service.

It’s like people complaining about the church traffic or the belltower or the school they live across the street from, after they have moved in.
