Christmas is so anticlimactic. Chanukah ended 2 weeks ago so my dear daughter is “what have you done for me lately” already. She only has M-F off next week–school all day Christmas Eve, back the Monday following New Year’s.
Lechacal, cheese on the campbell’s soup stringbean casserole??? SACRILEGE!!! French fried onion rings from a can. My mother’s favorite cookbooks were the Campbell Soup Cookbook Collection.l

Standing rib roast, yorkshire pud, roast pots, assorted vege – buche de noel & plum pudding w/ hard sauce for afters.
Lech, bring your running gear with you – ie you’ll need to run off all that bbq stuff

Rob, why dont you go walk around in Bed Stuy and Crown Heights so you can say next year “I’ve been there and your hood SUCKS”?

I’ll be in the midwest for xmas. There will most likely be:
– beef brisket
– ham
– a dish that is made out of canned string beans with campbells soup seasoning and velveeta cheese sprinkled over it
– Canned corn with velveeta
– a dessert consisting of kool-whip with canned pineapple and miniature marshmallows
– an appetizer consisting of cream cheese spread on pita bread and then rolled up and cut into pieces
– one or more casseroles
– Something the mrs and I will make, which will likely be viewed with suspicion by everyone else and consumed by only us
dibs, lambertville been to moyer’s with her, she travels far and wide for good sausages
