I love the area of Floyd Bennet Field and that Aviator complex. It doesn’t even look like you’re in Brooklyn. At teh last meet-up, Legion was telling me how he saw a giant turtle crossing the road when he was drivingby there.
I’ve written this before: if you want a neat experience, take a drive starting from Canal Street at the Hudson River, proceed down Canal Street and go over the Manhattan Bridge and then take Flatbush Ave all the way down to the Rockaways. You will start out in the density of Manhattan and wind up in the natural beauty of Fort Tilden. When you are driving down Flatbush Ave in the Floyd Bennet area, you feel like you are in the “country”.
bronxville is mega expensive. great schools. think it has the shortest commute into Grand Central. I view it as a compromise – have to move out of NYC but dont want to commit to full westchester suburbia living
I’m arranging to meet some guy to buy 2 tix for tomorrow show for radio city xmas.
From craigslist. SHould be okay, right?
his ad said the 2pm show tomorrow and just the 2 tix for sale.— not greatest seats and not greatest price – but good enuf. So tell me will be legit?
I’ll let you know if my daughter wants to organize an excursion during vacation. Maybe a little faster from your house in the car because you’re closer to the BQE, along the way.
That price isn’t too bad, RF.

AGREED, Snappy. Hit SLs everytime we come back from skiing in Vermont (or hiking the AT).

Snappy, I just looked. Not as expensive as I remember–$8 admission and $5 skate rental plus they have free lockers.

Don DeLillo lives in Westchester.
And I’d gladly live in Yonkers to be near Stew Leonard’s. LOVE THAT STORE!
