  1. Iam currently between engagements (sounds better than unemployed). I get a lot done between 4 and 8. Have breakfast, read the papers, do a load or laundry, feed my two cats, sweep up the leaves – all very exciting stuff.

  2. Rob, one of my good friends is a dog walker and he gets really pissed off at people who do that. Apparently he has even caught some of his fellow dog walkers doing that with dogs they’re supposed to be walking. :/ as you would say.

  3. Rob, I completely agree with your 9:27am post. Walked by CVS a few days ago (one of the brutally cold days we had) and saw a small dog tied to a pole shaking like crazy. I wondered why the owner couldn’t leave the dog at home or not make the dog walk part of his/her errands.

  4. reading in the paper this morning that nyc is FINALLY going to do something about people who tie their dogs up to poles outside. i can understand if you need something last minute and you do it for like 5 minutes but people seriously go grocery shopping, go into bars (FOR HOURS….), etc and tie their dogs up to random places on the street in the freezing cold and sometimes in the heatwaves of the summer. it’s so mean! i’d like to see what would happen if someone tied their kid up to a pole like that! of course the city counsel hearing is making it fineable if you leave them tethered to a pole for more than THREE HOURS. THREE HOURS!? having a dog tied up to a pole on a busy city street is just wrong and makes me angry. i actually see it a LOT in park slope, i would think people in that neighborhood would actually think it is a bad thing, but maybe they really just are so self-centered that it doesnt cross their mind. havent you ever seen a dog tied up and youre like omg so cute and you go to pet it and you almost get your hand bitten off!?!? or see a dog shivering and skittish? now that i think about it, ive never seen this happen more than i do in park slope!!! hey park slope dog owners: you are abusing your animals and deserve to be fined!

sorry, i normally have no convictions in life about, well, pretty much anything. i can’t be asked to care i guess, but i do care about this issue and im glad the city is trying to do something, as half-ass as it may be..
