Benson, the food at most new stadiums goes WAY beyond hotdogs nowadays. that said, none of it is any good and whyt would you eat anything other than a hotdog at a ball game????? Would you order a steak at a Chinese restaurant????

I’m glad you like the Yankees and that you enjoy the game, but – sorry to say – you didn’t make the sale with me.

I like baseball, but not enough to ignore the environment. Perhaps I’m wrong about the crowd, but I do recall that the last few times I’ve watched a game on TV, I’ve heard the chorus of “A__hole” constantly going on in the background. Also, my folks went to one of the last ticker-tape parades, and came back disgusted at the behavior of the crowd (and my father is FAR from a shrinking violet). Weren’t you telling us about how your “longshoremen” co-workers reacted to the Clifford Lee news?

If I could get past the crowd, I still would feel outraged about paying $10 for a luke-warm beer and $10 for a lousy hot-dog. I’m sure there are good places outside the stadium, but part of being at a game is to take in a few beers and hot dogs for the kids, without the need for a second mortgage.
