if Rob’s party was in Soho – chances are it wasn’t a dedicated ‘gay bar’, just a normal place with people who think Soho is a cool place to hang out (ie, gay girlman fashionista wannabees)

I finally have the permit to rebuild my deck. Took two years of wrangling to get it and the architect was very clear that 8 feet was the max allowable. Would love to have it more like I had it, which was ten feet.

The most hilarious thing though is that I had to tear mine down and it was by FAR the nicest one on the block, compared to all the wooden lean-to type structures that are behind most of the houses.

No name and too drunk to read name are two different things.
(I know, having had both experiences).

In Rob’s defense, I can easily imagine going into a club without catching the name. In my day, the best clubs didn’t have names.

wasder…one of the architects posted it a while back…it has to do with overall lot size and the distance house is from back of the lot. Whoever psted was pretty specific on the issue of 8′ or not.

That said, when mine was built, they told me that 8′ was the max.
