I have nothing but respect for people who take care of other people’s children, and do it well. I wouldn’t be very good at it. I really feel for the ones who are employed by people who think the nanny is also a full time housekeeper, who should have plenty of time in their day to not only entertain, feed, clothe and clean up after their children, but also have enough time to clean the house, do the laundry, and cook. On the same cheapo salary. Those people should be sentenced to do the same for someone just like them.
“And I stand corrected: I just spoke to a colleague of mine and she noted that the top admins here typically receive around $35k+ in cash bonuses from people in the group.”
Yeah well if one poor admin has to work for 7 over-hyped banker types she probably deserves it.

And how did you have money for a cab?”
Hah, just got to the top of the ot… yeah rob, what’s with you and cabs?
Last week I took maybe my first cab in five years.
I was in the IAC building, that lovely glass thingie on 18th and the West Side Highway, and I had to go to the World Financial Center.
And I’m thinking, here’s where a cab makes sense. Right down the WSH, else have to walk to A train, then from A all the way back to the WSH. So I bit the bullet and hailed that cab. Even tho it’s a biz expense for me, I still feel cabs are wasteful.
Of course that’s why I don’t have to hock my metrocard.
im also talking about full time nannies, not the glorified baby sitter, few days a week couple hours a day type… or maybe im not sure what a nanny actually as is.
Ah, besides looking like a greasy hairball, watch Cliff Lee go geriatric on the Phillies. Better them than us.
rob, did you pay taxes on the money your granny sent you?

Donatella, Lee would’ve cleaned himself up if he chose Yanks. Look at Damon, Swisher, etc.
