Well, my dictionary gives the funeral connotation to eulogy (first definition), but says nothing about funerals for eulogize. I think we’re dealing in connotation, not definition. I was just trying to capture a tone commensurate with what was being said about Heather on FIPS.
I am sure our grammar and usage commissioner, arkady, will have something to say about this.
And, btw, arkady, I was saying congrats to dcb, not to Mrs. dcb.
I hope he’ll brave these waters again and realize our ribbing was good natured and I hope Mrs. dcb wasn’t too put off.
You should always believe what you read on the Internet. Additionally, it is a well known fact that visiting a city anywhere in the world through the internet is an excellent substitution for actually going there.
I emailed Arkady earlier this morning and haven’t heard back from her. Anybody know her whereabouts?
I can see the internet from my house.

I’m just upset that I was neither eulogized nor lionized for calling Amy Sohn a vapid twat.
I’m so disappointed in DCB for not coming in here today. This does not reflect well on him.
The Internet told me that eulogies are often but not always for dead people.
“Cobble, that’s called 1-track mind. obsessed seems too negative”
I almost said 1 track, but then I remembered the “other track”, and decided against it. : P
You have to be dead to be eulogized? I guess I remember that from somewhere. Going back to the Internet to check.
