Yes, slopefarm, they are redeemable for a shot of Jameson next Thursday.
So……. speaking of next Thursday, are all of my Internet enemies cool with my being there? cmu, noki, you’re not going to try to shiv me in the back or anything, right?
It’s a rec for an absolutely amazing contractor. OP even invites you to his home to see all the wonderful work the contractor did, and at 33% lower than the other bids. Just a small catch. No names or contact info, either for the OP or the contractor.

ENY, re Zola’s “Germinal”, the book was long so I watched the French movie a long time ago. So if I remember correctly, and maybe not, it was the guy who moved into the household of the character of Gerard Depardieu (sp?)who was the original agitator. I thought of that story when the coal miners were trapped. I think Zola was the first one to chronicle the plight of coal miners (1885).

Hey DIBS you still holding on to those $4 C calls?
Are blogpoints redeemable for real merchandise at Ye Olde Brownstoner Gift Shoppe?
Thanks slopefarm. You get +10 blogpoints.
“hannukah needs more festive decorations tho.”
And better games for kids. Spin the dreidel just doesn’t cut it in the age of Wii and Xbox.

“They tried to kill us, we won, let’s eat!”
I heard the Parade Ground geese are now trying to adopt that motto.
