paterson is primarily all section 8 now and they raised the caps of what landlords get. so it doesnt affect the residents all that much, the ones with vouchers anyway. the ones who dont have vouchers should probably move out anyway and it’s a shit hole. the owners of those houses who are getting section 8 money can still afford to pay the taxes on their homes they own. i wouldnt be shocked if they get tax breaks for it either.
