Slopey – Here’s the bumf. For CBS, NBC & ABC I need to aim at 333 degrees & they’re between 3 & 5 miles distance. For PBS it’s 7 degrees. the compass pts cited are based upon magnetic North, not true North; i.e. the curved face of the anntenna should point at 350 degrees from Magnetic North.

whoa had no clue there was a real science to this. i usually just play around with it randomly. the picture farts and goes out tho when planes fly ahead. kinda of annoying, i wish there was a way to get the planes rerouted over some other neighborhood.

  2. “Why do you freak? Maybe they had a low salary and don’t get the very much, denton. ”

That’s not the point at all cobble. It’s not what they get. The point is that it’s not fixed. It increases based on inflation. So you’re not living on a fixed income.

That phrase should be retired but old complaints die hard.

  3. I don’t get the whole streaming thing, just like I don’t get the whole mp3 thing.

And yes I have an Ipod but I just use it for background music, travel, and parties and stuff. But if you want to hear what music sounds like, mp3s don’t cut it. Of course that’s cuz the technology is too young, granted. One day ipods will have enuf capacity to store digital audio in 96/24 format, which is what it takes to sound really good (CD’s ain’t the greatest either).

Why watch heavily compressed, pixelated, jittery streaming content when high definition content is available that will knock your socks off and the stuff to play it costs next to nothing? Of course one day that will change as the pipes get bigger and hi-def content can be screened uncompressed. But that day is not here either.

I stopped into B&N US cuz I was hoping they still had a signed copy of Paul Auster’s new novel, ‘Sunset Park’, he was just there last week.

oh is that book good? i like a lot of books, but there is the occassional dud i cant get into, and id hate buying the hardcover of that book and having it suck. im a little chary about the theme of the book too. three artist friends sharing a tiny apartment in sunset park? eh, im not sure even what he could spin on that cliche tale.
