“Someone posted on park slope parents that they wanted to know where they can buy “an organic Christmas tree”. It made me throw up a little in my mouth.”
now THATs a great idea for a business
sell shit in park slope, label it organic (and charge double) for something that is by definition organic.
i cant stand whole foods because they are so smarmy and they always have the lamest expressions on their store advertising. whenever i have to go in there i want to gouge my eyes out with a zuchini. and dh is right it’s like a zombie movie in there. it’s like who ARE these people leisuring walking around in the middle of the day half catatonic. and they are expensive as fuck, some people in that thread said that they are not expensive. ugh yeah right, the people saying it’s not expensive are probably not paying for their own groceries then. nothing seems expensive when youre buying stuff with mommy and daddy’s credit card, which i’d guestimate to be about 40-50 % of whole foods customer base.
Actually when I read the organic Christmas tree message I was in VT hanging out with a bunch of farmer / logger types. I read it out loud and we all had a good long laugh about how unbelievably fucking ridiculous city people are. They just have no reference point for what is real and what isn’t. They read stuff on the Internet and adopt these ridiculous opinions (written by people who sit in city aparments making up uninformed opinions about the outside world) that are so far removed from reality all you can do is write these people off as no longer relevant.

“There were a couple posters here who were ADAMANT that this WAS the spot for the future Apple. But instead it was bought by some guy in East Williamsburg known for operating cheapo hostels. ”
haha – i knew it would never open there. i just enjoy getting your panties all twisted.
