  1. Having said that, I’ve only felt unsafe in New York on a couple of occasions since I’ve been here. One time was in broad daylight on the Upper East Side when two young guys tried to accuse me of bumping into one of them and making their eyeglasses fall and break. They wanted money from me. I calmly spoke to them as I proceeded towards the police station that was close to my place. Once we got close and they noticed, they realized it was time to try the scam on someone else.

  2. It is j-u-s-t o.k. to put up decs today. They can stay up until 12th Night (a.k.a 3 Kings &/or Eve of the Feast of the Epiphany.) I had apple, pumpkin & banana cream pies for breakfast – no room last night for any of it.

  3. i have to do laundry today SO badly. for the last 2 days ive been recycling underwear :-/ that aint right. im just being so lazy right now and im in my i cant be asked type of mood. im hoping that no one is in the laundry room. the best part of thanksgiving in nyc is that most of the moonfaces are out of town

  4. *rob*, I personally think the Christmas Season runs from Thanksgiving Day through New Year’s Day, and I think Christmas decorations and Christmas music are appropriate during that period. I hate when stores put out Christmas decorations, etc., beginning in July, and it’s too much when people who still have their decorations up in late January and beyond.

  5. “at like 6am this morning”

Early morning in New York is so wonderful. I’ve taken to doing my laundry first thing in the morning and getting the paper and sitting in Gorilla Coffee and just enjoying the early morning vibe.
