Yes, the Citicorp train show is really nice.

rf, I was on West 12th, between Hudson & 8th, from 1986 to 1990. Only walked over to Greenwich to go to D’Agostino and didn’t go north beyond Jane, Horatio and maybe Gansevoort. When I lived there, a guy who lived on Hudson & Jane went out to use the pay phone on the corner (there’s an anachronism for you!) and was shot and killed.

I was robbed at knifepoint at clinton/washington (g train) station once. Like 1978 or thereabouts.

Some guy tried to mug me at like 12:30 pm in the Eastern Parkway subway stop in 2003. I was walking in and someone was blocking my path. I moved to the side and so did he. I looed up and he approached and tried to put his arm around me.

I pushed him away and said, No. Turned around and walked out. “Sir, Run!” The station agent yelled.

I turned and he was running out of the turnstiles at me, full sprint. i went to the staricase and had the handrail between him and me. I went up, he went up, I went down. always with the rail between us. He would make snatching motions with his arm occasionally People in the subway – 5-10 of them – stood watching, doing nothing. Then I turned and walked off and he didn’t follow.

I tried to call the police and report it, no precinct would claim jurisdiction. They were total assholes about it.
