As a kid growing up in upper west side/harlem I used to get mugged all the time.
About a month ago, I was riding my bike on Kent Ave when two preppy looking, sissy white guys, also on bikes stopped me and said “What are you looking at? You gave us a dirty look”.
I told them to fuck off. They started to boast how they were going to kick my ass and steal my bike. I called them douche bags and said if they were going to do anything they would have done it already.

sofa table means end table or coffee table?
(one of those is real white trash)
If you actually knew anything, you’d know that a “sofa table” is a table BEHIND the sofa that’s as high as the back of the sofa…oftentimes a drop-leaf.
I’ve only had things stolen from inside my apartment; typically after a night of drinking and bad decisions as to whom to go home with!!!! My grandfather’s monogrammed gold cufflinks were the only things that ever mattered.
Biff, m4l, I was just going to suggest you take your respective kids to the Citigroup holiday train show, but when I Googled for the link, I see that, after 21 years, Citi canceled sponsorship of the show after Christmas 2008 to save money. What a shame.
New York Botanical Garden has a great holiday train show, though, and Bronx Zoo has a great outdoor light display, so you could do both of those one day.

Finally, I just rode off.

DIBS gives money to young gangstas in his neighbourhood…even when he isn’t getting mugged.
I refer to them as “thugs,” which is a particular look that I like. Alas, I have not been able to get more than one at a time.

[rolling eyes]
I didn’t live near clint/wash —was just visiting and going home.
“Oh, and I put the nutcrackers out on the sofa table.”
[Note to Self: Never eat food off of dave’s sofa table.]
