Anyone remember the old Hitchcock Presents episode where a young couple is given a box with a button in it to push? If they push the button, they’ll inherit something like $2,000. They push the button when desperate for money. Then the man comes back to retrieve the box and gives them the $$$. They ask him what he’s going to do with it. He informs them that the box will be taken to another poor person and when that poor person pushes the button, the couple will die and their $$ will go to the next person. They were horrified!
