A few points:
-where did I say that there was a huge and sudden interest in Super-Computing? I was summarizing a speech by one of IBM’s top thinkers, in which he stated that he believes that Super-Computing will be the next engine of growth. He was anticipating a technological development over the coming decades.
-Likewise, I was suggesting that folks keep an eye on these companies as an investment. I am not a trader who looks at the fluctuations of stocks on the scale that you quote above.
-I suggest you do more research on where Cray is going. Yes, they will now offer GPU blades as an option, but the fundamental building block of their next-generation Cascade Supercomputers will be Intel processors:
-The ascendance of Mellanox is further proof of the importance of Intel CPU’s in this process. Are you aware of what their switches do? They “cluster” multi-core x86 processers to form “nodes”, and then further clsuter these nodes with their larger switches.
-I am sure you remember that Cray computer was all but left-for-dead a decade ago, as there was no market for Supercomputers back then. It filed for bankruptcy, and was passed through multiple owners. The fact that it now is back in a big way speaks to some trend.
Rob, you are right…it was Twilight Zone. A super old one when they were still in black and white. I think they redid it recently. That one and the one where the blind guy in prison promises to help another prisoner escape. That was good!

Would any of you swing the other way for the rest of your life (ie, go gay if you are straight and vice versa) for $1billion?

Interesting that Murdoch’s Bklyn Paper is the only one that trashed the Atlantic Yards musical. Times gave it a rave.

Here’s a follow-up:
If you suddenly had $1 billion, would you still stay with your current partner/spouse?
Yes, but I’d travel a lot more.
