In my industries they often start with their safety culture / record. Which they proceed to emphasize by pointing out all the fire escapes in the presentation room in great detail.
When I sat behind screens doing speaker support for CEOs of major corps & they’d always start out w/ crap about values – e.g. Prioritize your time: family & health come first – I’d have a hard time not horking since the same guys would be demanding these meetings be held on weekend or holiday so sales force wouldn’t miss viable sale days.
was going to go get a McRib but got sidetracked again. Not by a pack of Top Talent but by a subway poster. havent had a tuna sandwich from Subway in a long time and the poster triggered urge to go in. Once again, outcome was good – tuna with sweet & spicy peppers was delish
DIBS, I’m not working for them any longer. It was a disaster, which is fine. Better to find out sooner than later! Let’s not make a big fuss. I’m over it, moving on, and doing something else for now.
