  1. Unfortunately, lech, too many people think Palin is relevant and a serious possibility for President. On the other hand what Krugman writes has little to no effect on the economy- he writes opinion pieces. At least he does so with far more intelligence and grace than Palin.

  2. I’ve always thought charting was alchemy, but I think it is worth pointing out that gold is forming a perfect head and shoulders. How do the gold bulls who believe in charting interpret that?

  3. Forget it, bxgrl. If you can’t discuss the issue that you yourself brought up then please stop psting about it. Enjoy the Krugman article but do yourself a favor and read an Economics 101 book as well because there was not one bit of economics in his Op Ed pice, just politics.

  4. “Yes, donatella, the public at large loves to quote Krugman since they have no other name that they know. They don’t know whether he’s Austrian, Keynesian or what his economic theory really is and that doesn’t matter to them because they don’t understand the difference.”

They don’t care about the philosophy, just the results because they have to live with the results. You seem to think you operate in some elitist vacuum and everything you do should be for the benefit of you and no one else. I don’t care what school of thought Krugman, or any of you subscribe to- I only care about how it affects the country. I make up my own mind on what I read- not becuase Krugman said it.

  5. I know it’s a tradition, but why the hell can’t the NFL change up the two permanent teams playing on Thanksgiving?

It would be much more enjoyable to spend some holiday time with friends and family watching a Colts-Patriots matchup than having to watch the Lions play?
