“Most of the unemployed people I know are all highly educated, very motivated, and hate collecting unemployment. But they cannot find a job. This was a lifeline for them, and I can’t believe those self righteous a-holes in Congress wouldn’t pass this.”
Hanging out in coffeehouses all day on a day off is a most excellent time. I love the vibe of Park Slope on a typical weekday midmorning or afternoon. I had such a day tuesday – really felt relaxing and I got a ton of work accomplished.
“that’s not the point i was making. it’s just that there was what looked like 100 of them. excuse me but 100 white women with 100 babies is as terrifying to me as 100 teenagers with guns might be to other people. so dial down your snobble watch, cobble i aint in the mood”
Oooh, did I upset you Rob? Poor baby. 100 middle-aged white women with babies terrifies you? BAH HA HA HA HA!
ah MM you completely missed my point about the unemployment thing. i dont think extending it passed 99 weeks is good, but i DID say i think the amount people get should be like doubled and not taxed. that would be a lot easier for people to deal with. how do people actually survive on what unemployment pays? it’s ming bogglgingly very low
11217 – oh that’s cool that you can work from home some days. Yes I have now had 2 consistently delicious lunches at s’nice involving a salad and a soup! – plus their carrot cake muffin and hot chocolate – haaaaa
gemini there’s a LOT of trust fund adults with money in their 20s, 30s, and sadly even 40s in park slope. dont let their grody clothes and disgusting neck beards fool you.
You’re so full of SH*T, Rob. You said:
” if you can’t find a job in 99 weeks than youre probably just unemployable to begin with.”
Go f*ck yourself.
