“Most of the unemployed people I know are all highly educated, very motivated, and hate collecting unemployment.”
MM, I must gently disagree w your mentioning education. Let’s open the tent wide enuf for everyone whether they have a PhD or a former job in a supermarket.
DIBS, think this year I’ll just get one of those pay par ducks in chinatown. cooking turkey it super time consuming and is very hit / miss with the moist/dry meal outcome
jeez bxgirl, looks like you too missed my point. i wouldnt be able to survive on unemployment so i’d be forced to go shelter or cardboard box. i would also turn to crime, i have no qualms in saying that.
60 Minutes did a story this sunday on Shale drilling in the US and how it’s affecting small communities. On the one side – you have people who agreed to let these companies drill on their land and lo and behold they get checks for hundreds of thousands of dollars and has changed a community around for the better, but then on the other hand many of these drilling companies take shortcuts that end up damaging the land and putting the people in the immediate vicinity at risk for all sorts of health problems….
When I first moved out of my family’s house, I bought a butterball turkey and saw this globbing looking “growth” on the side of the thing and thought I had gotten one with a “tumor”. No problem, I cut it off and cooked the turkey
which came out ok but non of that butterball juiciness. What can I say? I had to learn a lot of things on my own.

I understand paying $30 for lapin but never for rabbit.
Unless they give you the foot/key chain as souvenir.

I have a titanium ring. it’s cheap (appeals to my more4less mindset) and super light (dont like the much heavier platinum ones on my finger)
