Benson, I don’t care if Vito is your second cousin. Why use “poverty pimp”? It’s insulting and denegrating. Does a white congressperson from Backwoods, wherever, representing people who are just as poor as some people are in Harlem or Bushwick, get called a poverty pimp when he/she gets gov’t money for their district? I don’t think so. Would anyone ever think to call John Boehner a poverty pimp for steering money to his urban districts? Yeah, right.
