What, CGar, you were an alpaca farmer? Yeah, it occurred to me why the YAK thing annoyed me so much — it was actually CONCEIVED as a way of being shitty to co-workers. i.e. “F*U all, I am not giving you anything, I hate you all so I propose that we don’t do anything nice for one another but instead be charitable and buy a YAK for a poor family”.
That’s like rounding up your family and friends and saying “Rather than give you anything (since I hate you) I am buying a large pack animal and giving it to someone else so I get to feel morally superior and hate you at the same time.”
Lechacal, it amazes me how you are able to home in on these absurd stories. You may be interested in referencing the recent Staten Island in South Beach where wild turkeys are terrorizing the populace. It is right around Staten Island Hospital. Somebody told me her friend who just had a heart attack was visiting her cardiologist and had to RUN away from a pack of wild turkeys squawking, nipping at her, and running after her.
But the people in Staten Island would probably have no problem with killing the turkeys but they are busy spending all their time commuting.

There is a story in today’s Wall Street Journal about a very successful hedge fund manager who is locked in takeover a battle for Dynergy Corp. Page C1. They mention that he studied philosophy.
A suprising number of philosophy students go on to do stuff like this.

I just served a few weeks ago. They are stricter about adjournments but it was pretty clear you were out after your first day or after you were released from a panel if the panel wnet to a second day. Did they just discharge you from the panel this morning or really late yesterday? You might just be waiting to be discharged at this point.
