Ditto I thought English people didn’t have sex.
Have you ever seen the Catholic vs. Protestant comparison scenes in Monty Python’s The Meaning of Life? Hilarious. Absolutely hilarious. In fact here it is. So funny.
“Ratner shoved his weight around and used his friends in high places to get deals, and despite the pure atrociousness of the plans, even got taxpayer money thrown at him. ”
Bxgrl – +10 virtual blog points for not using the term “back room deals”
I think people protest more because they’ve seen the results of big projects that simply steamroller over everyone. AY is a perfect case. It’s poorly thought out, Ratner shoved his weight around and used his friends in high places to get deals, and despite the pure atrociousness of the plans, even got taxpayer money thrown at him. AY is not about thinking big- this is no George Washington Bridge or even a BQE. This is all about Ratner and his ego.
And don’t even get me started on how much money he is NOT paying the MTA.
As far as wind farms- these are the choices- you either accept them and look at the big picture for cleaner energy, or you fight them. Some sacrifices are worth making if it means less dependence on fossil fuels.

WTF is happening on Park Ave? Do I hear people singing? Helicopter hovering overhead. Is this some kind of protest or something?
Lech – exactly. As is my usual problem, apparently, I wasn’t considering it from the lady’s perspective.
With MY dog, Pedro, those are fighting words, so watch yourself. Mess with me, but don’t mess with my dog.
