Ugh. Again with this argument!! Lefty people – stop thinking that all Righty people are stupid. Listen to what Benson is saying. But Benson, stop acting like your party properly represents your perspective.
Where do I say that everyone must agree with my perceptions?
I am talking about the underlying premise, or ethos, if you will, of the party’s platform. I’ll quote Steele:
“Among today’s liberal elite, bad faith in America is a sophistication, a type of hipness…..It rationalizes power in the name of intervening against evil – I will use the government to intervene against the evil tendencies of American life”.
Thanks for the invite, jessibaby, but I don’t think that would end well. I have a really low tolerance for Republicans (unless someone could scare up a good old-fashioned liberal Republican capable of rational discourse). Our President has to try to get along with these types, but, fortunately, I don’t.
“Are you really so obtuse or do you work at it?”
LMAO
he’s also obtruse.
“When the Democratic party once again accepts that the USA is an exceptional nation with good, decent people, then I’ll listen.”
Eeks – benson, I don’t think you mean the democratic party – I think you have it a bit twisted – no?

He hits the nail right on the head.

When at Bell Jar for the holiday party, if someone finds my button to my favorite blouse that I lost there at last year’s party. Please return to me.
“if you promise to read Sinclair Lewis’ It Can’t Happen Here.”
Ok I just looked up what this was. Written in 1935, can’t see the relevance unless you are indirectly invoking Godwin’s Law.
